Twin Flames

Listen to the poet read this work

Recording by Tehreem Fatima, November 2025

twin flames still in touch,

never burnt ours as such.

souls tied in the sky,

on earth they said goodbye.

soulmates in the stars,

shooting stars turned to cars.

a love out of this world,

a love of the afterworld.

candle burnt the sun,

its flame never undone.

life pulled them apart,

destiny’s missed dart.

distance dissed fate,

no time to wait.

false forever set straight,

dreams past date.

match still aflame,

love left no shame.

angels tied our souls,

we filled their empty holes.

Poet's Note

“Twin Flames” traces a love that resists extinction, surviving beyond distance and human endings. It’s about two souls that refuse finality, burning quietly through every realm they’re torn apart in.
